Whether you are planning a formal sit-down meal or buffet or prefer to keep the conversation light with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, the Holthus Convention Center offers the perfect setting for your next event. Our list of approved caterers can help you plan a menu that is a perfect complement to your event.
Catering
Guests of the convention center are required to select a caterer from our Approved Catering List. All of the caterers on our current list have been vetted by the Holthus Convention Center staff and have agreed to provide you the best catering experience possible.
Please Note: At this time, the Holthus Convention Center is not accepting any new caterers.
The Holthus Convention Center offers a fully equipped kitchen to help your caterer prepare for your special event. Our kitchen comes equipped with ovens, ranges, portable warmers, refrigerators and a freezer. The large kitchen layout allows for multiple caterers/events to be serving simultaneously without the fear of interference by one another.

Bar Service
Any event requiring bar service is required to use the Convention Center's exclusive bar vendor, Kerry's Restaurant and Catering. Cash or host beverage service is not available through the convention center directly. Renter is responsible for contacting Kerry's no later than 30 days prior to event date.
As the exclusive bar vendor of the Holthus Convention Center, Kerry's Restaurant and Catering is responsible for the administration of the sale and service of any alcoholic beverages in accordance with the State of Nebraska Liquor Control Commission. Kerry's product offering includes a wide variety of liquor, beer, wine and other spirits to choose from. All alcoholic beverages must by supplied by our exclusive bar vendor. Guests must be prepared to show proper and valid identification, upon request, when ordering or consuming alcoholic beverages. All guests must be able to show proof of birth date prior to being served. The following are, but not limited to, the polices of Holthus Convention Center for the use of bar services:

The maximum length of bar services is eight hours and no later than midnight. Last call will be given no later than 11:45pm.

Food must accompany any alcohol.

The State of Nebraska prohibits the sale to and consumption of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21. No exceptions.

Valid state issued identification card, driver’s license, passport, or military identification card in accordance to State of Nebraska law must be available as proof of birth date, upon request.

Bartender reserves the right to refuse service to ANY guest at ANY time.

Alcohol may NOT be removed from premises or brought onto the premises. Guests will be given one warning for violating this policy before being asked to vacate the premise.

Any alchohol located in a vehicle transporting guests inside the facility must remain in vehicle or be moved to another location outside the convention center upon arrival. Alcohol MAY NOT be brought into the convention center (Ex: Bus transporting a wedding party into a reception)

The Holthus Convention Center & Kerry's Restaurant and Catering reserve the right to suspend liquor service at any time for any reason without warning.

Kerry's Restaurant and Catering must receive all bar contracts at least 30 days prior to the event or beverage service may be denied.

Beverage Service
Guests with meetings and events requiring non-alcoholic beverage service may work with the Holthus Convention Center staff to accommodate their needs. A wide variety of fresh brewed coffee, tea, soda (Coke Products) and water are available. A price list may be requested by calling the Holthus Convention Center office at 402.363.2675 or by emailing info@holthusconventioncenter.com.
